Congratulation
...to my favorite new social servant in Seattle. Lindsey was out last weekend to interview for a job with a non-profit organization that works to provide affordable housing to low-income people. She just found out she got the job, and she will be moving back out here next week. Praise God for the opportunity He has provided her to pursue a job that is so aligned with her passion.

Not exactly what I was hoping to see when I opened my email this morning...
This just came in from my parents. Please pray for Gary. He has been running fever for the past 5 days and now we have discovered he has Dengue Fever. He sort of felt like malaria symptoms early on and yet it wasn't bad enough for malaria. Then yesterday we had some blood work done and they told us to come back this morning to check his platelet level. The level has come up but since yesterday the itching has started and he has been unable to get any rest at all. His hands and feet have a rash on them and the small capillaries are beginning to burst. Please pray for him. This is not fun to have and can leave one in depression for several months after they begin to feel better and in some cases can be fatal. (I don't think Caucasians react the same as Asians.)
Thanks for holding him up.
In His Care,
Stacie and Gary
Please remember my dad in your prayers.
EDIT
It sounds like my youngest brother, Stephen, also has the infection at this point. Stephen is the only kid in my family still living with my parents. He is just finishing up his senior wrestling season at Faith Academy, and he got on the plane to the Far East tournament in Japan with a 104° temperature. He wrestled well--despite his weakened condition, he finished 5th--but by the time he returned his feet had started breaking out in the itchy rash.
