And just as quickly...
Below is the text of an email I recently sent out. I don't have much else to say at this time, but I thought that my readership should be informed.
Dear Friends and Family,
Lindsey and I would like to thank you all for your prayers over the last several months. It has been an amazing time for us as we have seen the Lord develop our relationships with Him and with each other. Over the last couple of weeks, He has shown has shown each of us some areas of our lives that need to grow independent of one another before we will be ready to enter into marriage. Lindsey came out from Colorado the weekend before last to talk with me about cancelling the wedding. We were able to have several very fruitful discussions and some good time in prayer together while she was here. God has shown himself to us in a very tangible way through the circumstances as Lindsey has felt a tremendous burden lifted from her shoulders. The week before I had been praying that He would give Lindsey peace in her heart, and that prayer has been answered.

We do not know what the future holds for us at this point, but our faith is in the One who knows the end from the beginning and we know that He will be glorified regardless of the outcome. For now we will be spending some time apart so that each of us may diligently seek after His will for our lives. We ask that you would continue to pray for us, that we may be submissive to that will and responsive to it as it is revealed to us.

May God be with and bless each of you,

Tom

It starts with the shoe. Maybe the next day it's a t-shirt or a sock. You don't know if the washing machine ate it, or your roommate borrowed it a month ago and forgot that it was yours. All you know is that by the end of the week, you're walking to class naked because you don't have any clothes left.
