The countdown begins
Normally I don't do things like this, but it occured to me this morning that in a non-leap year Jan-Feb-Mar is exactly 90 days. This means that when you throw in the first eight days of April, today is the threshold between triple- and double-digits. I'm down in C. Springs right now during the company holiday between Christmas and New Year's, and it has been an exciting and productive time. I had met with the pastor who will be marrying us and Lindsey a couple of times via teleconference from Seattle, but this week we have been able to go into his office together, which has been very beneficial. We also tackled the guest list, menus for rehersal dinner and reception, ordering invitations, upgrading the hardware, and outfitting the men of the wedding party. Trying out different looks at the tux shop was quite fun, and Lindz and I are both very happy with the results (and the price we got thanks to her parents picking up a brochure from the bridal show they went to a few months back). I will be sporting a black tailcoat, white vest, and black necktie. The groomsmen will be in a more traditional jacket with plum vest that complement--and ties that match--the ladies dresses. The fathers will have the same coat as the groomsmen, with grey vest and black tie. Everyone's vest is a matching pattern, which will tie the ensemble together nicely. Did I mention that I get to wear a tailcoat?
