Get ready for the overtime
Lindsey left for Colorado on Thursday; she's going home to plan the wedding. Conveniently she left just days after I had a chat with my lead and one of my project managers about workload and priorities at the office. The bottom line of that conversation was that while, yes, some of my projects do need to get done a little more urgently than others, they still all need to get done. And they all need to be done yesterday, so I'd better hurry up. They suggested that I start coming in and working some overtime. Which I interpreted to mean that I'm not working enough overtime already by coming in for six or seven hours on my day off. Looks like fifty-hour Monday to Fridays and showing up on the weekends may become standard for the next few months. That's just fine on two conditions. I'm not skipping soccer to work full days on Saturdays, and I'm not working at all on weekends that I have snowboarding trips planned. At least with all the overtime I'll be working, I'll be able to save up some money for the honeymoon.

It starts with the shoe. Maybe the next day it's a t-shirt or a sock. You don't know if the washing machine ate it, or your roommate borrowed it a month ago and forgot that it was yours. All you know is that by the end of the week, you're walking to class naked because you don't have any clothes left.
