Ouch!
I think a spider bit me in the armpit last night while I was sleeping. That is to say I just discovered, thanks to a severe and slightly painful itching sensation in my armpit, that I have been bitten by a spider; I think it occured last night while I was asleep because last night I slept in the most spider-infested room in the world, and if it had happened since I woke up, I probably would have noticed it immediately. As it was, I only noticed it when my shirt rubbed it the wrong way, triggering the itching. In any case, I'm sure for the next few days it will be annoying beyond imagination.

Word is apparently starting to spread...
at LeTourneau. Today I received a call from Linda, who had heard that I was going to marry this girl, and was curious if I was actually engaged or if she had just picked up some rumor and speculation. When I got home today, I had an IM of congratulations from Heather Andrews. Thanks, girls--it was good to hear from you.
Today was a "hooray for weekends" kind of day. I took off a little bit early yesterday so I could make it down to my aunt and uncle's place before the lake closed. They're out of town, and my brother is watching their place for them while they are gone. Lindsey and I went down yesterday afternoon to give him some company after he had been there alone all week. We each got a quick run on the wakeboard, spent some time in the hot tub, had pizza, and watched a movie. This morning we played in the boat some more. Thanks to some heavy rain last night, no one else thought it was a good day to be out on the water, so we had the lake to ourselves. This afternoon the soccer team that Lindsey and I are on played for and won the championship in our division. All that to say, if you asked me right now what I was doing at work, it would take me a few minutes to get back in that frame of mind and remember exactly what I was doing yesterday. What a good feeling.
