I can't find my left shoe

Online...sort of
Well, I'm getting settled into my new place. The work schedule makes it very tough to get things unpacked during the week, and I tend to spend my weekends pursuing other interests, so it's taking awhile to get everything put into it's place. I ran the speaker wires this morning, so the tv/stereo system is now officially and completely up and running. Internet is still a little sketchy. I keep getting disconnected with a message that my network cable is unplugged. I thought it might be a problem with the cable, so I picked up a new this morning. The result? Connection is still intermittent at best. Comcast will be getting a call from me shortly. I didn't just pay them close to $200 in transfer and subscription fees to have internet access only when their hardware is in a good mood. Chances are I won't even be able to upload this post, because between the time I logged into blogger and the time I started typing the little blinking orange light on the modem went out again. Piece of junk.

It starts with the shoe. Maybe the next day it's a t-shirt or a sock. You don't know if the washing machine ate it, or your roommate borrowed it a month ago and forgot that it was yours. All you know is that by the end of the week, you're walking to class naked because you don't have any clothes left.
