Well, I suppose it's time
to drag my blog into 2004. And what better way to do that than by skipping work due to poor road conditions? Yesterday it snowed in the puget sound region. That doesn't happen very often and the DOT is not really equipped to handle winter road clean-up. I have no problem with driving in the snow, and I went in to the office yesterday. This morning, however, we had something even more fun: freezing rain. I decided that taking a sick day would be better than driving to work on a sheet of ice. The temperature is supposed to hover right around freezing until about 4:00 this afternoon, at which time it's supposed to start warming up. Kind of strange, but the prediction is mid 40's by midnight.

I hope that everyone enjoyed their vacations. I had a good couple of weeks off, which I spent mainly being lazy. I did take a couple of snowboarding trips, and had a chance to catch up with some friends I hadn't seen in awhile as well. Basically though, plenty of time to post stuff here over the past couple of weeks has been met with very little inspiration to write. I'm sure now that I'm working again there will be no end to the things I wish I had time to write about.
