Exactly
one month since last real post. I've been reading in a lot of Bandit blogs about moving back onto the floor, and I have to say that I'm a little bit jealous. I definitely miss the atmosphere where you can find something to do at pretty much any hour of the day or night simply by opening the door to your room. I won't let myself get too sentimental here, but while I'm thinking about the dorm, if Toad reads this, you need to call me. If Toad doesn't read this, one of you guys who does needs to tell him to call me...or at least catch me on IM.
And now for some of the more exciting excerpts from the last month in Seattle:
-Linda and Bethany came to visit. We had dinner on Sunday night and went to the Safe to see the Mariners beat the Rangers on Monday. Unfortunately, it didn't quite work out that way (Seattle lost 11-1), but we still had a good time.
-One of the girls on my soccer team (yeah, it's a coed league) threw a formal party. Nice excuse to get dressed up (we're talking way-more-than-symphony dressed up here, though I stopped short of the full penguin suit. Despite the fact that I did not know anyone there, with the exception of the hostess, it was a good time.
-Wednesday evenings at the park my Bible study group gets together to hang out, enjoy the weather, throw the ball around, and read up on a little church history.
-Sunday nights we have the U-district equivalent of Saturday breakfast at the yellow ghetto house. The most recent installment included some good discussion on Calvinism vs Armenianism and the finer points of discipline. It lasted well into the night, and assured that I was not fully conscious at the office Monday morning.
-As far as I know, no planes have dropped out of the sky due to the potential rookie mistakes of certain less-experienced and still relatively newly hired employees at an un-named, but well known Seattle aircraft manufacturer.
All in all, it's been a good month. Hopefully it won't take this long for me to post again, but, until next time...
