Random update
I figured I'd better log in here and post something before I forgot what my password was. The last couple of weeks have been fun, but a little bit off as well. My brother Jon, who graduated from high school in the Philipinnes about three weeks ago, has been in town. He's mostly been staying down at my aunt's house in Kent, so I have revisted the commute from hell on several occassions to get down there and spend some time with him. While he was here we went out wakeboarding a couple of times and made it out to the Museum of Flight. It's been great to have him around, even for such a short time. Tomorrow morning he flies out to Colorado Springs to start at the Air Force Academy.
Things at the apartment are a little frustrating. Dave and I get along pretty well most of the time, but our sister moved into our spare room while the dorms at SPU are closed for the summer, and most of the time she drives me crazy. Stuff like piling three days worth of dirty dishes in the sink instead of just putting them in the dishwasher because, "[she] likes to wash them by hand."; that's great, but now we can't use the sink until she gets around to cleaning it out. Or cooking on the Foreman grill and not wiping it down afterwards. And the is the girl who said, "You should knock $50 a month off my rent and I'll clean the apartment for you." Grrr.
In other news, I'm starting to build some friendships with people at church. A couple of weeks ago a bunch of us were sitting around after Bible study talking about how there isn't really anything organized for people our age to get to know other people our age within the church. So we decided to start a regular Friday night gathering. Conveniently, there's a nice little brewery just around the corner from the church, so we have a nice central location to meet. Hopefully it will turn into one of those things like breakfast at the yellow ghetto house; it happens every week at the same time, and people can just show up to hang out, enjoy each others' company and make plans for the weekend. We kicked it off this past Friday, and so far it's looking pretty good.
